Feature updates
The deposit alternative that pays you
Eligible guests can now pay a small non-refundable fee instead of the full security deposit. More of your stays are covered, and the fee adds revenue to every booking that takes it.
Since mid-2025, guests have sent more than 8,600 requests through RentalReady to arrive early, leave late or add an extra to their stay. And there's room to grow: answering every one would have brought in around 40% more. Picture it on your portfolio. 50 properties means roughly 1,250 stays a year, and if one guest in five takes a 30€ early check-in, that's 7,500€ with no extra cost. Already offering upsells? Set your availability rules once and eligible requests are accepted automatically, so none slip past.
Since 28 September, Booking.com no longer shares guest phone numbers through its API, so ask for them in your pre check-in form to keep reaching your guests.
Vrbo
From the end of October, Vrbo moves to a single host commission of 12%, with no separate traveller service fee. Worth checking your rates before the switch.
